Mel qualified as a holistic massage therapist from Bodyology School of Massage in London in 2012 before launching her own practice in 2014.
In her first year, she was fortunate enough to work as an associate alongside an Osteopathy and Pilates specialist. Working closely with an Osteopath gave Mel exposure to a greater range of clients requiring more remedial treatments, a focus which continued on in her own practice. Mel specialises in deep tissue treatments for those experiencing chronic pain from everyday use, postural problems and medical conditions.
In 2019, Mel went on to qualify as a Level 3 Sports Massage Therapist, developing her knowledge in anatomy, massage techniques, and injury treatment and prevention. She also practises Thai yoga massage, an effective treatment option for releasing connective tissue and joints.
Outside of work, exercise has always played a big part of her life having trained from a young age to regional levels as a competitive badminton player, continuing to play as an adult. She later developed an interest in running, completing 2 half marathons to date and is now adding a healthy interest in skiing into the mix.
